College biology recently finished a project to learn about biological systems and medical procedures where students had to take a developing chicken egg and inject food dye in the right place and correct time to color the chick inside the egg before it hatches. #gowarriors
College Biology finished an animal ethology project and learned about animal imprinting. For this project each student received a newly hatched duckling & kept it for two weeks to try and imprint on them. The final test was to see if the duckling will come to the owner quickly.

Mrs. Bruns’ 5th graders have been working on brochures trying to convince people to move to Iowa! This tied together our persuasive writing standard and our Iowa social studies standard. They also learned how to work more with a brochure template, google docs, and a bibliography.
HS Track Regionals (boys and girls) are postponed to tomorrow, Friday, May 10th, 4:00pm at Central City HS.

3rd grade enjoyed their field trip to the Wapsi Environmental Center last Thursday!!
Tonight!! Warrior families- Join the HS student council for movie night (7:30-9:00) in the courtyard (inside if bad weather). Admission is free and concessions will be offered for sale. Chairs available to rent, or bring your own. (Adults accompany 6th grade & under).

HS band & choir performs at State Large Group Contest Friday at Tipton HS. Band performs in the auditorium at 6:00pm / Choir performs in the church across the street at 7:00pm. Audience members are welcome and encouraged. Admission $7 adults, $5 seniors, and $3 students K-12.
