Tuesday, the DeWitt Chamber & Development Company hosted a SUCCESS Roundtable event for 10th/11th students. Students met with community leaders on their personal path to SUCCESS with the goal of students thinking creatively on options for their own career path to SUCCESS.
Reminder of the scheduled 12:30pm early dismissal tomorrow, Wednesday, March 9th for staff professional development.

FCCLA happenings:
January 27th: hosted district meeting with 8 other chapters & the event was filled with meetings, networking opportunities, community service & an awesome hands on presentation from both the Calamus & Wheatland Fire Departments.
February 8th: part of the chapter traveled to Des Moines to learn about how the State government works and advocate for CTE courses/fields.
February 14th - February 18th: FCCLA week & we celebrated by showing off our skills, provided staff with warm beverages and giving back to the community.

Noelle was honored for her 1A Cross Country individual state title tonight during the Parade of Champions at the state basketball tournament! Well deserved! #GoWarriors
On Fridays, career speakers share their knowledge with interested 7th-12th graders. Today Marty Traver, an Elkay mechanical engineer, joined us. Marty brought in a hands-on activity, which had the students assemble a product. Kudos to these girls for furthering their knowledge.

Clinton County Sheriff's Deputies contacted the district regarding a suspicious vehicle report made on Feb. 28 & made contact with the vehicle owner/occupants. While this ended positively, please be vigilant in our communities & call the Sheriff's department with any concerns.
The Pruett Family lost their pig show barn and everything in it over a week ago. This morning the FFA, FFA Alumni and the Elementary Staff presented the Pruett family with a gift of support to help get the girls back into the show ring.

The district was notified about a strange red van along the side of the road this afternoon. We notified the Clinton County Sheriff, & our drivers are also on alert doing the job they always do. If you see anything suspicious, please call the Clinton County Sheriff & school.
