Veterans Day program and luncheon 2023 (part 3)
We sang the National Anthem and recited the Pledge of Allegiance. Mrs. Ashley Scott, former Air Force C-130 Loadmaster, was our guest speaker. She presented the district with a flag that was flown on five different aircraft missions.
K-2 students sang “Yankee Doodle Dandy”;
the band played “America’s Finest”;
Alexa Jacobi introduced each Veteran in attendance;
Girl Scout Troop 2423 gave each Veteran a card;
Grades 3-6 students sang “God Bless the U.S.A.”;
Legion members performed the Salute to the Dead:
Macy Lyon honored fallen Veterans with the playing of “Taps”
All Veterans and community members in attendance were served an awesome lunch of turkey roast, macaroni and corn casserole, broccoli salad and dessert.
Aaron Wood drove his refurbished jeep to Wheatland and had it on display.
Thank you to our partner First Trust and Savings Bank and everyone involved for making this Veterans Day program so enjoyable.

ManBall 2023 ended in a Sophomore victory last night! All of our teams played well but the 10th graders could not be beat and won the tournament! Thank you to everyone that played, or that came out to cheer on their team!

The key card access is disabled and the gym and fitness room are both closed Monday, November 6 through noon Wednesday, November 8.

Students are having five minute face to face conversations on Fridays during Mrs. Forret's classes. They are working on being able to have casual conversations while making good eye contact, which are important skills to have. They had some adult guests join them today as well.
A big Thank You to the CW community for helping us have a successful blood drive again this fall! Our goal was 48 donations and we collected 65 yesterday, which was 20 more than last fall! 25 CW students rolled up their sleeves and 14 of them were first time donors!!!
