Whitney VanBlaricome attended the Northeast Iowa Bandmasters’ Association district honor band on 12/2/23. While there she auditioned for the All-Iowa 8th Grade Honor Band, a highly selective, state-wide ensemble. She was honored with a recall, which means that she is All-Iowa caliber, but there weren’t enough spots available for her to be selected. Congratulations, Whitney! #gocalwheat #gowarriors

Lori Forret, Secondary Science, Favorite Hobby: Golfing Years at CW: 6 years Favorite CW Memory: “My favorite memory is when I was a junior and both our boys and girls golf teams went to state and we both got runner-up trophies. I love working at Cal-Wheat because it's always been "home" to me. I graduated from here, my kids graduated from here and now I am working here. My advice to my students is to try to stay as positive as possible through all the ups and downs that they will go through in life.”

Classroom Wish Lists. Help bring out staff some holiday cheer by fulfiling an item from their wish list. Pick a stocking. Purchase a gift. Return to the school office with the stocking so it can be delivered to the staff member. Stockings can be picked up in the Activity Center during a game, or contact the high school office.
