During library, the kindergarten students enjoyed the book Chalk by Bill Thomson. It’s a wordless picture book about three children who find magical chalk on the playground. Then we went outside on the playground with our own magical chalk.
The 4th grade classes took their field trip today. They went to the Trenton Elevator Company and to the National Mississippi River Museum and Aquarium in Dubuque!#gowarriors
The 7th grade STEM class is building Sumo Wrestling Robots using LEGO Mindstorms. Next week their robots will attempt to push each other out of an arena using sensors, programming, and their own innovative designs.

Art Club's last meeting and project was May 8th. Students participated in creating acrylic paintings using a pour method which leads to unique swirl and marbled designs. All the participants took home their paintings. This was a great way to finish the year. #gowarriors
College biology recently finished a project to learn about biological systems and medical procedures where students had to take a developing chicken egg and inject food dye in the right place and correct time to color the chick inside the egg before it hatches. #gowarriors
College Biology finished an animal ethology project and learned about animal imprinting. For this project each student received a newly hatched duckling & kept it for two weeks to try and imprint on them. The final test was to see if the duckling will come to the owner quickly.
