The Calamus Wheatland Community School District students and staff have always enjoyed inviting our Veterans and community members to our annual Veterans Day assembly and luncheon. A decision has been made to not host the event this year due to the coronavirus pandemic. Our students and staff are extremely disappointed in not being able to honor you in our traditional assembly.
Veterans hold a special place in our society and community. Our students and staff would like to thank you for the sacrifices you made to help maintain the liberties and freedoms we enjoy today. Although our traditional assembly and luncheon will be postponed this year, our students will be creating a video that will be shared on F&B local channel 60, the district website and district social media pages to honor you.
We need Veterans photos submitted. Please email a photo to Marika at mpewe@cal-wheat.net. Or, if you are unable to email, please call 563-374-1292 to make other arrangements to get the photo submitted.
